Damp conditions were expected to linger along large portions of eastern Queensland this coming days as a atmospheric system continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.

The following day was predicted as the most rainy day, with persistent severe weather risk anticipated across multiple regions of both regions.

Safety Concern

Public health experts cautioned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, particularly given the existing atmospheric conditions.
